Becka & Brian Engaged
If you know me, then you know I REALLY love October. I look forward to it when it’s February, haha.
I have my mom to thank for this because she always had amazing Halloween parties for me as a child, decorated the house to the 9’s, and had apple everything…pie, sauce, crisp, candy apples, etc…
Nothing is quite like the beauty of fall.
The leaves are filled with hues of orange, crimson, yellows, and the air smells so clean and fresh.
It’s really a magical time in New England that is fleeting as it comes once a year and is gone in a flash.
As Robert Frost once so eloquently said, “Nothing gold can stay.”
Do you know what can stay? This really fun e-session.
Becka and Brian feel the same way as I do and really love the fall season.
They are also about as adorable as they come.
No seriously...cute for DAYS these two ; )
I was fortunate enough to be referred by her lovely sister Kara (thanks Kara!!).
I shot her wedding which was this past summer.
When Becka and Brian told me they needed an engagement session for their Save the Dates I instantly began to think of cute props and locations.
I came up with the idea of an apple orchard/pumpkin patch seeing that it was fall.
"He picked me" would be the theme.
See what I did there? ; )
I loved having them do this shot, even when the apple juices were all over the place, it was worth it to see them sharing the apple.
Cuteness overload!!
Belkin Family Lookout Farm (where I selected to shoot) ironically was mentioned in Yankee Magazine this year as one of the TOP places in the country to buy a pumpkin. It's a wonderful place to visit!
I didn't know this until after I picked the location when my Mom saw it in the magazine and called me.
Pretty awesome.
LOVED this barn!!
*Becka and Brian ended up choosing this image for their Save the Dates*
The light was so pretty and Becka and Brian were so relaxed during the session, we were having a great time!
We went to the farm later in the season, but at its peak the farm grows over 10,000 pumpkins...that's a TON of pumpkins.
On top of that the property is beautiful.
So apple picking we went!
Becka and Brian were such amazing clients.
I would tell them to do this and that...sit stand, hug, kiss, lean in, lean back...they just trusted my vision completely.
Sometimes I ask clients to lay down on the ground... it's all part of the experience ; )
Can I just say Becka's ring is AMAZING??!!
It was her grandmother's and she had been admiring it since she was a little girl.
Brian had it reset for her and it was a complete surprise, and what a GREAT surprise it was!
So beautiful.
We then left the farm and drove down the road to a little park and took some great pics near the trees (I LOVE trees) as well as snuggled up under one.
We had a good time laughing about the fact that I literally sprinkled Becka's hair with leaves as well as ON Brian and Becka.
I thought it was amazing that the tree's leaves matched Becka's shawl!
I am so honored to be their photographer in June 2017!
Congrats again Brian and Becka, I am looking forward to your wedding : )
